Hope everyone is doing well, short update today. The written portion of the book is almost complete. Travis has finished the first half of the sketches for the monsters, and after inking and coloring those he'll tackle the last half. Our layout guru is getting ready to take over most of the project. Meanwhile, the NPC book and adventure are coming along.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to complete their survey, getting us all the info we need. 96% of the surveys have been filled out. The deadline is July 31st.

Hey Everyone, thanks to those of you who filled out your surveys. We've had a great response and 86% of the backers have filled out their addresses and other information. 24% of the backers have also purchased add-ons. Surveys are due by the end of July. We'll get a count of the physical books for the printer and lock addresses shortly after that.
Other News:
1) The artist (the prolific Travis Hanson) continues to work on finishing the remaining illustrations for the monsters. Here are some examples. Once we have a quarter of the monsters done, our layout guru will begin to take over.
We'll let you guess what kind of creatures these are...
2) Most of the rest of the book is complete. The 110 monsters are chosen and editing continues on the stat blocks and bios. We've almost finished the two PC subclasses, a new druid and a new ranger.
3) After the monster illustrations are complete the artist has a few full page pieces to complete. Finally, he'll tackle the interior cover art and the maps.

Hey everyone, the test surveys went smoothly. We've now sent everyone their survey. Have fun choosing the add-ons (we've given you lots of choices) and please complete them by the end of July.
The work continues. Almost half of the monster descriptions are now in the capable hands of the artist. A second editor is going over the monster bios. Meanwhile, we're also double-checking all the math for the stat blocks. Still finalizing the druid and ranger subclasses for the book.

Surveys coming soon/Pre-Order store open

Hey everyone, lots of news for you!
1) The pre-order store is open for anyone who missed the Kickstarter. This offers the Underworld book, Feyland book, and a few small add-ons. https://monsters-of-the-underworld-for-5th-edition.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders
2) Your Backerkit surveys with a ton of add-ons are coming soon. Phase one is sending a test survey out to 5% of the backers. This is part of Backerkit's process to make sure the surveys are working properly. Then all the rest of the surveys will be sent. All surveys need to be completed by the end of July.
3) Monsters of the Underworld is currently 130 pages and 40000 words. The next set of art descriptions have been passed over to the artist and the layout process should start soon. We'll update you with some of the images of the monsters as the process moves along.
4) We've ordered all the custom Griffon d20s from Q-workshop. The production time is usually 8 weeks.

Thanks to over 700 backers, this monster book is going to be awesome! I'm so happy that all of you want to see this book created.

Now Kickstarter begins their process to verify the pledges. This takes about 10 days. We'll start the process of setting up a Backerkit so people can add more rewards to their pledges.
Meanwhile, our team will focus on editing the stat blocks and sending off descriptions of the other monsters to Travis the artist. Our layout guru, Jeff, will get to work soon as well. Our plan is to have the art done by the end of the summer and have the PDF finished in September. We want to ship the hardcover book in October.
